I concur with Chopper. Afternoons in Utopia is a pretty good album, not quite as good as Forever Young, but close. Dance With Me is the best tune, followed by of all things a song called Lassie Come Home.

I loved Big in Japan. The video was.. unexplainable , but the song itself was a very catchy melody

    Re: Alphaville "Forever Young" (1984)

does anyone remember the special extended remix that re-charted the song in 1988?

It appeared on the "Singles Collection" LP in 1988

'Afternoons In Utopia' was kind of similar to 'Forever Young', but after 1986 Alphaville's sound changed along with the times.

The album list goes something like this:

    1986 - Afternoons In Utopia
    1990 - The Breathtaking Blue
    1992 - First Harvest (Best of 1984-1992)
    1994 - Prostitute
    1997 - Salvation

I have all these albums, and all are very enjoyable and contain some very memorable tracks. For a good cross selection I recommend getting the First Harvest compilation. It contains all the single mixes of the Forever Young album, as well as there more mature later works. The myth is that it all ended after Forever Young, so for those Alphaville fans out there I urge you to hop along to AudioGalaxy and WinMX now!

Alphaville are one of the greats and form a very important part of my musical collection....
I loved the "Forever Pop" release from 2001. It was the songs of Alphaville remixed in today's styles by artists like Eiffel 65 and Paul Van Dyk (to name a few)

"Fallen Angel" is my favorite track in the album. I cannot understand why it was not released as a single.
