I have quit smoking. Since I moved to my new apartment, I have not yet had a cigarette. It has almost been a month. I had smoked, off and on, since I was nine years old. Disgusting and expensive habit. Plus, at $10/pack and rising, I think I'll stay quit this time.

Nope, never have smoked. I've got enough health problems as is.

I did, however, have a shot of peach schnapps when I was 9. My sister gave it to me and told me it was Kool-Aid. I've never been the same since. Maybe that's why I'm all screwed up!!!!!

It's been 2 years, 8 months, 9 hours and 57 minutes since I quit. But I'm still not counting.

You'd like to think so, wouldn't you?

Lucky! That's those of you who can smoke one or two then go a year without touching one!! I wish I had the same predisposition! But after nearly 2 years and 9 months, I still have cravings on occasion....especially if I'm drinking.

But I have had enough trouble to know better, so those of you who've stuck with me for a while can stop worrying if I'm dumb enough to start again after all this time! Really, I'm nuts, not insane!

You'd like to think so, wouldn't you?

yes, I smoke. I started when I was 14, because it was "cool"...now I am stuck with a bad habit and have tried numerous times to quit. I also tend to snack and eat alot when I do try to quit and a craving hits, so thats a bit scary, the thought of gaining so much weight. But anyhow, yes, I do have that disgusting habit.

NO! HELL NO!!! It's just such a dirty smelly habit.. My husband (when we met) smoked and I wouldn't even talk to him.. he asked me why I wasn't interested and I told him that I didn't date smokers.. he quit right away We've been together for over 8 years now, and he's never had the urge to smoke since then and finds it just as disgusting as I do.. when we go to a bar or to my parents house, (they smoke) we immediatly go home and take a shower and throw our clothes in the washer.. nothing worse than smelling it on your clothes and hair.
At my place of business NONE of our employees smoke.. (there are about 30 of us).. it's amazing... smokers are a dying breed.. (literally)...

Good luck to those of you who are trying to quit!

I've heard that giving up smoking is a difficult task...so I guess I'm lucky I've never bothered to even try to start smoking.
