Re: Did you sneak out of the house?

    Lucky you Blue Jean !

I however wasn't soo lucky.. I lived in an older home that was built in the early 50's so sneaking out of those old squeky windows were not easy ! I did discover a way to end the squekyness ! It was called Vasoline ! I slapped a bit of Vasline on the hinges of the window and suddenly the windows were quiet as a mouse and so was I hopping right of of that window !

We would do all kinds of things, drink, hang out, go to late night parties by this fishing pond !
I have to say we went to IHOP the most ! Of course ,it was in the worst area of town out by Bon Marche mall but damn we were happy ! We would cruise on down in my best friend's Yugo yes, I said Yugo ! Damn, I loved that car or at least the memories of what we got away with involving the car !

I still can't believe we were never raped or killed being out at all hours of the night !!

No way!! I knew what would happen if I did. Besides, my parents let us have some freedom.

Its nice having OPEN MINDED parent like this...

I have heard that people who have parents like this (No restrictions) are less likely to get in trouble or do stuff (Nothing to challenge them,no "no's" from the parents)

Yeah the one thing my parents were was open-minded. However, I've always been prone to just a LITTLE trouble....LOL...

I never snuck out ( my bedroom was also on the 2nd floor) but I snuck IN several times. My curfew was 12:00 a.m. on the weekend and a few times my parents would fall asleep and NOT notice that I was coming in at 3:00 a.m.

Re: Did you sneak out of the house?

Oh, yeah. When my friends and I were staying over at each other's houses, we'd sneak out on occasion. Depending on how late we got in, I should say.

My Dad pretty much let me do what I wanted because I got good grades and never got in any serious trouble. But if I got home at midnight, I wasn't going back out. Or so he said. On the weekends I could stay out until however late I wanted, he knew I'd have to come home sometime Saturday night to deliver newspapers.

You'd like to think so, wouldn't you?

Re: Did you sneak out of the house?

I did my share of "Sneaking out". We lived in a single level house. I'd open my bedroom window, hop on out and be off and running. On occasion my older sister would catch me sneaking out and threaten to tell on me....But I'd shut her up by telling her if she did Mom & Dad would "mysteriously" find out about the times she went out smoking pot with her loser boyfreind! That usually shut her up pretty fast. Blackmail is such a wonderful thing when used right!

I did manage to do my share of sneaking out, even though my windows had hurrican shutters on them had to go through the whole house to get out & managed pretty well until I got caught & the folks padlocked the door That wasn't until my sr year & I was out shortly after that anyways ... oh the "mommy dearest" stories I could tell ... but I turned out OK
