    Wink Fave 80s SNL character

Who was your favorite character from Saturday Night Live back in the 80s??? There were so many memorable characters, but I would have to pick Eddie Murphy's Gumby (Merry Christmas, Dammit!) and Dana Carvey's Church Lady (well, isn't that special?) as my fave 80s characters. What about yours???

    Good topic!
Okay.. Mike Myers and Dana Carvey as Wayne and Garth.. (early 90s though I think)...

Rob Schnieder as the copy machine guy (early 90s?)

Eddie Murphy as Gumby, James Brown, Mr. Robinson, Velvet Jones, and Buckwheet...

    Dana Carvey's Church Lady (SATAN!)

Steve Martin and Dan Akroyd as "two wild and crazy guys"

Jane Curtain and Dan Akroyd as The Coneheads

Man.. I think most of the guys I liked were early 90s though... David Spade, Phil Hartman, ADAM SANDLER, Chris Farley... that was my favorite cast, Dana Carvey, Mike Myers.. too many!!!! AHHHH!!!
and I am really enjoying the new cast as well!

My favorite is Eddie Murphy. Especially when he did "Mr. Robinson's Neighborhood". "Oh damn, somebody stole my sneakers." I loved that!

I always liked John Belushi as the Samari Warrior and as a Chef in a resturant (cheeseburger, cheeseburger, Coke.... no Pepsi, Coke!)

I forgot the Sweeney Sisters (Jan Hooks and Nora Dunn)... The late Phil Hartman's Frankenstein was funny... he also did a mean Ronald Reagan and a funny Barbara Bush. I also enjoyed Hanz and Franz "We are here to Pump You Up!", and we can't forget Billy Crystal's "Fernando... You look mahvelous", and his hilarious Sammy Davis Jr.

I use to laugh so hard it hurt. Remember those two women in the Lounge restaurant, with the 70's type hairstyle and dresses? The brunette and blonde who would sing those songs to the customers. Showtunes or something. They're best was the Christmas special songs. I MISS THEM <img src="frown.gif" border="0">
No one like that will be on Mad tv, I'm sure.
I also miss Dana's version of Bush.
