I liked Eddie Murphy as Gumby, "I'm Gumby Damnit!" That line cracked me up all the time.

Dana Carvey's Church Lady is my all time favorite character on that show. The one where he has Jan Hooks and Phil Hartman on as Jim and Tammy Faye Baker is the best.

I also liked it when Jan Hooks played Jessica Hahn to Carvey's The Church Lady. And Phil Hartman as a repentant Jimmy Swaggart was truly hilarious!!!

I think Mike Myers' playing Dieter on "Sprockets" was my fave.

"It's as boring as being alive"
"I'm as excited as a little girl"
"Do you want to touch my monkey? TOUCH IT!!"

Eddie Murphy as Velvet Jones comes in second.

Oh, I forgot about "Sprokets"... that was so hilarious. And when Dieter hosted "Germany's Darkest Home Videos"... I laughed my head off...

I forgot about Martin Short's Ed Grimley! Wasn't that also made into a cartoon series? I seem to remember it being a cartoon also. Another Martin Short character I liked was Jackie Jr., the albino guy with the Page Boy hair cut, who was supposed to be some famous lounge singer!

Thanks DJ, I thought that there was a cartoon based on the Ed Grimley character, but no one that I asked seemed to remember it and looked at me as if I was a nutcase!

I LOVED that cartoon!

Sad story...in 11th grade, for Halloween, I dressed up as Edward P. Grimley. I know it doesn't SOUND sad, but it was. I looked just like him!!

OY!!

Wink

I bet that looked, hilarious, Gretchen!!! Did you have the brown trousers pulled all the way up to your neck, and the greasy Alfafa spike in the center of your head??? What was Ed Grimley's catch phrase? It's totally slipped my mind!

"I must say..." of course, thanks for reminding me.

You really are going to have to post some more pics of your 80s days, Gretchen. I also want to see the video at the ESPN dance competition, with your bodacious ta-ta's popping out of your leotard!!!

As far as the video from ESPN....I think that my old studio I danced with has it. I haven't talked with the teacher in 4 years...we had a falling out when I was teaching there. (*bitch*)

I do have "before and after" pics that the Dr. took...but my face isn't attached!!

Privacy, you know!

As for more pics...I am trying to collect a bunch of them and go over to Kinko's to get them scanned onto a disc so I can download them! I promise, as soon as I do, I will get them directly to you!!!!

Sprokets was my favorite!! I used to love Deiter, especially when he danced at the end. Reminded me of Kraftwerk! haha

2 friends of mine dressed up as Sprokets for halloween last year. It was killer!
