That line is in Laura Brannigan's song "Self Control" often, but she's not exactly Cure-ish sounding.

NightWing - Black Sabbath...not very Cure I shouldn't think though...

Could also be 'Visions Of The Night' by The Police...more likely?

    Words and music by Sting
Gazed into the visions of the night
    Seen the darkness fall
I've heard a mountain fall away from sight
    Heard the thunder call
Seen the beast I call my father
    Creature of the night
I feel the creeping darkness close
    That electric light
They say the meek shall inherit the earth
How long will you keep it?
They sow a harvest but what's it worth?
There's no one left to reap it
Gazed into the visions of the night
    Seen the darkness fall
I've heard a mountain fall away from sight
    Heard the thunder call
Seen the beast I call my father
    Creature of the night
I feel the creeping darkness close
    That electric light
They say the meek shall inherit the earth
How long will you keep it?
They sow a harvest but what's it worth?
There's no one left to reap it
Gazed into the visions of the night
Gazed into the visions of the night
Gazed into the visions of the night
Gazed into the visions of the night
They say the meek shall inherit the earth
How long will you keep it?
They sow a harvest but what's it worth?
There's no one left to reap it
Gazed into the visions of the night
Gazed into the visions of the night
Gazed into the visions of the night
Gazed into the visions of the night
I have gazed into the visions of night
I have gazed into the visions of night
Gazed into the visions of night
    (etc. to fade)

...or maybe even..... 'I can make you a man' from the Rocky Horror Picture Show.......

thanks for the effort, but deinitily not laura, abcmcd.
and limeyb, for sure not the police, but the lyrics were interesting! i forgot all about that one. i really does sound like the cure and much more nuwave goth sounding.
    thanks for the imput.

    oh another one,
there is a song that I heard at a romantics concert a long time ago, it was before the show and they were playing music, but anyway, it had the words ...we will be alone
    in our aqua hearts....
or something like that. it was a definite nuwave ballad, sorta along the line of the church's wishful thinking.
kinda dreamy and happy. any clues???

Only song I know of besides what's been mentioned that has 'creature of the night' in it is 'Maria Magdalena' by Sandra....though I don't see that as too Cure-ish either... Bah, worth a shot

Following on from Roemello's post, the only other song I know with 'creature of the night' in it features in the Rocky Horror Picture Show!!! It's called (no laughing now...) 'Toucha-toucha-touch me', but probably not what you're looking for!!!

If the song is goth, check out "The Creatures of the Night" by the Screaming Dead...
