UH-OH! Sorry I have to edit. Dio was/is awesome. But I really got into

    Def Leppard- Pyromania

I still know most of the words to the songs on that album! I agree with Sal, I like nearly every album mentioned here. Even all the Bon Jovi (heh-heh).

    Ok, here I go ...

    TNT - Intuition
    Lynch Mob - Wicked Sensation
Dokken - Back for the Attack
    White Lion - Pride
    Van Halen - 5150 / 1984 (tie)

I'm judging my list mostly on what I still like to listen to today ... if the list was longer I would add W.A.S.P. (Inside the Electric Circus), Mr. Big, Giant, Def Leppard, House of Lords, etc.

Plus, I am you are one of a handfull of guys I know that has heard the entire BLUE MURDER cd, most people know Jelly ROll, and nothing else, and thus, dont rate them as high on musicianship as they should.

My favorite 5 metal CDS of the 80s are as follows:

    5. W.A.S.P. The Last Command (always loved blackies voice!)

    4. Living Color VIVID (not all "heavy metal" but a great CD and another GREAT musicianship CD)

    3. Motley Crue SHOUT AT THE DEVIL (a personal turning point in music for my life)

    2. Metallica RIDE THE LIGHTNING (Fade To Black has so much emotional importance to my life)

    1. Queensryche OPERATION: MINDCRIME (top to bottom, great songs, music, it is the TOTAL PACKAGE!)

Well, funny how my all time favorite band is KISS, yet they are not in my top 15 CDS that I "MUST HAVE" with me.

I love what you say about Shout being a turning point in your musical interests because it did for me too. I am who I am because of the Crue.
    I love those guys.

I'm a big Crue fan so here are my favorite albums of the 80s:

    *Too fast for love
    *Shout at the Devil
*Van Halen 1978 close enough, it's still eighties music
    *Open up and Say ahh
    *Appetite for destruction

    Tooooo many!!!!!!!!!!!1

    Master of Puppets
    Kill em all
    Blizzard of Ozz
    Diary of a madman
    Fair warning
    Dr.Feelgood
look what the cat dragged in

    am i doing this right?

    Is this the right way
