Annual mayhem,
Jon Bon Jovi helped get Skid Row their record deal on Atlantic records, as part of the deal, jon and Richie Samobora (reportedly) recieved a VERY large portion of royalties from all album sales (I have read anywhere between 60 and 80%). Because of this, the boys in Skid Row were understandably upset, and wanted to get out of the initial deal. They did, but it was after SLAVE TO THE GRIND was out, and Jon and Richie still got all of that money. Thier first CD with the new contract was the SUBHUMAN RACE cd, which did practically nothing, and since then, Skid Row have not done much until this recent KISS tour, with a new frontman, who by all accounts, is as good, if not better than Sebastian Bach.

Thanks alot Jasper. I never knew any of that. I find it odd that a band would sign away that large of an amount of their earnings. But, I guess they were desperate to get a deal at the time.

Hi every1,
did any1 hear that Oasis (the english band) are sueing BJ because 1 of the tracks on the new album sounds just like one of their B sides? When i first heard the song "Cpt Crash" I thought of the Oasis song "Stay young" and it seems the Oasis lawyers did to. If any1 wants to compaire the two download Stay Young and u'll see what I mean.

I did not hear that, nor am I familiar with that Oasis song. Those guys just suck! Maybe they should spend more time trying to mend their own relationship and writing better songs like their first 2 albums. Does that mean Joan Osborne is going to sue Bon Jovi cause "Two Story Town" sounds like "One of Us". Oasis is probably just whining because Crush is going to do better than their album. Oh well!

I got there at 7am... it was totally awesome cause we were up front very close and I got to touch Jon and Sambora... its a girl thing... what can I say? I'm a girl! Hehehehehe... they're looking a like to me a bit... its the hair!

My friends where complaing that there was too many nosy tourist... I just kinda worked my way to the front... I dragged my friends with me... who thought it was really funny... when someone moved, we moved... inch by inch we worked our way to somewhere near the front!
Hehehehe... concerts... okay fine... if you wanna lose you hearing... I tend to scream at the top of my lungs everytime I go to a concert. The best thing is that I don't lose my voice...

Let me get this straight, OASIS, is going to sue BJ for having a song that "sounds like" an OASIS song, but they dont seem to mind that 90% of thier music sounds like the beetles? SOMEBODY explain that for me?!?!?!?
