Flood Tide by Clive Cussler. As soon as I finish that, I am going to begin his newest Dirk Pitt novel "Trojan Odyssey".

That's a great book. I've read that several times since I first read it in the 80's.

"A Misfit's Manifesto" by Donna Gaines - it's a book about this woman's life and how rock 'n roll affected her. It's really powerful.

I'm currently reading for review Bruce Wagner's Hollywood parody Still Holding. I have read his other "Hollywierd" novels with the cell-phone-terminology titles: I'm Losing You and I'll Let You Go. Wagner has a true sense of the bizarre undercurrent that permeates the dream factory of L.A., and his characters are so outrageous that you know they must actually exist somewhere in the wasteland of So. California!

I'm reading "Adventures in Wonderland - A Decade of Club Culture" a book which charts the history of house and club music in America and the U.K. from 86 - 96. It's excellent!

Just picked up the latest novel from one of my favorite authors, John le Carre. Absolute Friends is just like all of his other previous bestsellers: suspenseful, well-written and with lots of insider information only someone in the know could write about!

I just finished STEVEN KING "On Writing" a nice little biography type book, with a section in the middle about what makes a person a good writer.

I am now reading WHEN THE GAME IS ON THE LINE by Rick Horrow. Its an account of the high stakes world of sports deals.
"A wise and frugal Government, which shall leave men free to regulate their own pursuits of industry and improvement, and shall not take from the mouth of labor and bread it has earned. This is the sum of good government" - Thomas Jefferson.

Just picked up a copy of SO80S: A Photographic Diary of a Decade by photographer
Patrick McMullan. Lots of great pictures of the decadent NYC nightlife of the 80s. There's even a foreword by Jay McInerny, author of the 80s classic novel Bright Lights, Big City. I had to order this imported from the UK, so it might be a hard-to-find title...

Right now I'm currently reading "Tears of Rage" by John Walsh. It's the true story of Adam Walsh, which is his son who was murdered in 1981. I'm only half way through the book, and believe me it's a tear jerker. As little as I was when this happened I can remember seeing stuff on the news about it. So sad.

Tropic of Cancer by Henry Miller

Not sure why exactly. I read it every couple of years but can never decide if it is more useful than crude. Oh well.

I just finished reading "Seduced By Moonlight" by Laurell K Hamilton. It's the third book in a series of fantasy novels. Very good.

I just started SADDAM HUSSIEN A POLITICAL BIOGRAPHY.

Pretty intense in its description of his actions!
"A wise and frugal Government, which shall leave men free to regulate their own pursuits of industry and improvement, and shall not take from the mouth of labor and bread it has earned. This is the sum of good government" - Thomas Jefferson.
