I have to go with Point of Entry. I know a lot of people think this was a weak album by Judas Priest but I kind of liked the experimentation. Plus the videos for Heading out to the Highway and Hot Rockin used to play all the time on MTV when it first started. I was thinking that MTV would be so cool. That just did not pan out but the album still was good. Again, Maiden is in close second.

Couldn't you call it sort of early prog.metal or something? I'm not really into the strict definitions of the various metal genres, so I couldn't really say. Just thought they belonged here

Well - I voted Mob Rules "Sign of the southern cross" is one of my all time favourites

Second would be Ozzy, then maiden

I voted Rush - Moving Pictures with Point of Entry right behind ... "Don't Go", "Turning Circles", and "Desert Plains" are excellent tunes as well.

This was just as tough as the first one. More diversity, I like that!! I had to go with Ozzy again though, Randy was the master!!! And Ozzy was never more 'on' than in the first couple of years of the 80s!! I saw Ozzy and Motley Crue on this tour, they were freakin wild!! Screwin with each other on stage, having gross out contests, walking out and jamming together!! Thats whats its all about!!

don't know about Rush being Heavy Metal? but it was still a great album nonetheless

Limelight and Tom Sawyer were two of the biggest hits of 1981 here! Gotta love those Canadian artists!

There is no other choice. "Killers" was a masterpiece. Just listen to the bass on the intro to "Wrathchild", the greatest bass sound ever recorded on a metal album!
