    Wham!

Always wish those two had stayed together rather than George going solo.

Such a hard call for me between Wham and th Eurythmics. In the end though, I had to go with the Eurythmics.

Like Wham! but broke up in the mid 80's. So I went with Hall & Oates who had a better career.

My vote had to go to the wonderful duo of Annie Lennox and Dave Stewart of the Eurythmics, one of my fave musical groups of all time!!!

Re: Favourite "duo" in the 80's

Hall and Oates, and although there are other great duo's on the list I think that Daryl and John were both very talented musicians who interacted very well together vocally.

Hall without Oates is like Simon without Garfunkel, but I don't think you can say that about Michael and Ridgeley. I think George could have fronted Wham! with or without his partner.

I chose other since there was no option for none of the above.

Andrew was more or less the silent partner in Wham!

I always thought he got a raw deal. He co/wrote 'Careless Whisper' with George, yet it ended up becomimg the first solo hit for George

Re: Favourite "duo" in the 80's

You forgot The System. But I voted for Hall & Oates.

BTW, isn't it weird that most notable duos have one star that would (or did) do ok without the other?
