a random poll: british hits of 1984

How about a random poll... Which one of these 11 UK 1984 hits do you like the best?

I went with Wishful Thinking. Still the GREATEST ballad of the 80's

I could sit on the roof and watch the day go by just listening to this song

That wasn't random that was cruel

I had to go for the Icicle works though as it's one of my top 10 all time favourites.

Good choice of songs except for the OMD one which thankfully is my least favourite of their songs.

agreed! although being that 1984 was my favorite year for UK pop, it was a tough choice. I seem to recall a plethora of incredible singles from that year.

Re: a random poll: british hits of 1984

That's a cruel poll! Too many songs I like! Couldn't male my mind up between Fiction Factory, Propaganda, OMD and Ultravox. I do like some of the other songs a lot as well.

In the end, believe it or not, I did not vote for Ultravox. I went for Fiction Factory because I simply like the song better than One Small Day.

Interesting that 'Shout To The Top' hasn't yet recorded any votes. I always thought that was the Style Council's best single...perhaps it's just the standard of the opposition!

You heard it here folks - a first for the 80sxchange!

I agree, it was a horrible poll Blitzkid...just goes to show the very high standards of competition during 1984.

And to that charge I plead...guilty!

It was indeed a difficult one...but I plumped for Fiction Factory in the end!
