Not even remotely... Of that whole list, only two of the games that I own are on it. I still think that is a poor ratio, especially considering that the backwards compatibility will be done through software emulation and not by the hardware itself.

Not for anything Shakey, but that's only you. Personally I have about 12 of the games on there, so the "goodness" of the list depends on the individual.

Aside from the fact that the whole "backwards compatable" thing is ridiculous in theory anyway. What, people throw away the old XBox when you get the 360? I know mine will be stacked up and hooked up so if I want to play an old XBox game, I plug it into - gasp, horror! - the actually XBox!

That may be, but it's my money I'm spending. Now if you want to buy me one for Christmas...

That's your point of view, bro, and not one I share. For me, it's about abandoning a still viable system and starting to collect games all over again (at no small cost). And yes, it would be abandoned, just like my NES and my Sega. I still have them, but haven't touched them in years. It's just the nature of the beast. I don't doubt that I will eventually make the move, I just can't justify it right now.

Still needs Star Wars Battlefront 2. Come on, it came out a few weeks before 360 did and I'm to lazy to unplug/replug all the router stuff and blah blah blah. I want to own some fools with a lightsaber already!

Yah, but it's still not a TRUE backwards compatability. There are some great games, that I own, that are not on that list. The Warriors comes to mind.

I'm with you on the whole "xbox doesn't cease to work" thought, but the fact that on the 360 it "plays" the old games in 720p is a huge carrot in front of my face, and I don't have a lot of those games on the list anymore.

So if you have great games that you think are classics, don't trade that xbox in to get some new 360 games just yet. I'll be hanging onto mine.
