Unusual for me to buy books, but since Christmas I've brought:

Have a Nice Day - Mick Foley
Controversy Creates Cash - Eric Bischoff
Walking the Golden Mile - William Regal
    Biggles in Australia

This lady started selling Mary Kay products in 1967. Since then she has achieved every goal she has set for herself including wealth beyond anything I can imagine for myself. And she achieved this by peddling lipstick.

She has also been battling cancer for the last 30 years. I saw her speak a couple of weeks ago. She is an inspiration.

I just recently bought a book off of Half.com called The Total Money Makeover by Dave Ramsey I am looking forward to reading it and getting some tips.

I just purchased Stephen King's latest, Duma Key. I haven't started to read it yet, but the description sounds like vintage King.

I know, isn't that site awesome? I have gotten a lot of stuff cheap there, even college textbooks.

Also, if anyone is interested in reading books on the computer via the Acrobat reader or whatever else, there is a website where you can download books for free. It's called Wowio: Free Books + Free Minds

Yesterday, The New Avengers/Transformers trade paperback arrived at my door.

And, by the end of this month, Transformers Spotlight, Volume 2 will arrive at my door.

Finally, the Transformers Devastation trade paperback will be in my hands by June 1.

I ordered all three Transformers trade paperbacks via Amazon.com in December. Because I ordered them early, I got a discount on each book.

Normal is getting dressed in clothes that you buy for work and driving through traffic in a car that you are still paying for - in order to get to the job you need to pay for the clothes and the car, and the house you leave vacant all day so you can afford to live in it.

Are you a Titanic nut too? Last year I was asked to come to my son’s school and give an hour long presentation on the Titanic because the kids were doing projects on it and my son opened his big mouth and said, “Oh, my dad knows just everything about the Titanic”. Rotten kid! The truth is it was a lot of fun.

Right now I’m reading: The Girl Next Door by Jack Ketchum… very disturbing but oh, so good!

Just a few days ago, Titan Books' Transformers: Legacy of Unicorn arrived via snail-mail.

And, coming soon, is Transformers: Spotlight Volume 2 (from IDW Publishing).

Re: What books have you bought lately??

I was never a big book person but lately I've been doing some reading.

Some of the latest books I've aquired are:

A Lion's tale: Around the world in spandex by Chris Jerico (He's a pro wrestler for those who don't know)
The Wrestlecrap book of lists by RD Reynolds
Pop singles 1955-2007 by Joel Whitburn (a chart book)
Every man's battle (don't remember who it is by, it's a christian book)
Under cover (again, don't remember who it's by, another christian book)

    you're dispicable!

I've been addicted to the Bathroom Readers series. I like the short articles and useless trivia that I can read and fall asleep to without having to think too much.
*Note: I read these before bed, not in the bathroom, just so no one thinks I'm falling asleep on the toilet.

I just bought a book called "Real sex" by Lauren Winner. Despite the title, it's a christian book about the struggle of chastity.

Thumbs up Re: What books have you bought lately??

I'm not much of a self-help book reader, but I picked up a copy of "How to Win Friends & Influence People" by Dale Carnegie and must say that it is an extremely good book. I read it in a few hours--good short read. No wonder it has sold millions of copies for over 70+ years. Some of it is common sense, but some of the points made in the book are very helpful. I recommend this book for anyone who ever has to deal with other people (basically everyone).
It's one of those books that I wish I would have read 10 years ago.
