Does anyone remember a song called "clock on the wall"? It was on a Electric Boogie Breakdance soundtrack.

I still have that compilation LP. Wish I still had the cool poster that came with it!

    Re: Clock on the Wall

    And THANK YOU.

For some reason this one just popped in my head after almost 30 years and I had no idea who the artist was. I only knew it from the previously mentioned Ktel "Electric Breakdance" LP which I had back in 84. Back then you bought anything with the words "rap" or "breakdance" on it in the hopes of finding some new cool jam that was previously unknown to you.

And for every "Al Naafiysh", "Egypt, Egypt", "Rock Box", "Magics Wand" and "Electric Kingdom" you had to suffer some hopeless nonsense like a fake Rockit by BT & The City Slickers, random noise from Alex & The City Crew, an unfortunate attempt at rap by Michael Holman and of course "Clock on the Wall."

But it didn't stop us from playing the same 8 breakdance compilations over and over on a huge boom box as we destroyed our clothes and injured ourselves on huge sheets of cardboard.

Of course a year later I became a DJ and had 12" single versions of all the classic tracks and got rid of my K tel stuff and pretended I never had it. Course I sorta wish I still had those cheesy breakdance LPs for nostalgic purposes.

Anyway had that one cruising around in my head, found out the information needed to play it on youtube and now I should be good for another 30 years.
