The worst remake of an 80s song

What is the absolute worst remake of an 80s song?
I heard it on the radio today. It's some hip-hop interpretation of "She's like the Wind." Wow. It is unbelievably bad. I don't normally go around defending Patrick Swayze's honor, but my God, you have to be kidding me with that!

One contender to that title was posted here recently - think it was Sugababes feat. some other girl band with a remake of "Walk this way". Sounded like a bad joke...

I like Marylin Manson, but I don't know which one is more horrible between his cover of "Tainted Love" and "Personal Jesus". "Sweet Dreams" was ok.

My problem is, I'm kind of an 80s purest and don't really don't care much for any 80s remakes that I've heard. But, I'd have to go with you on that one Chance. I can't even imagine what that would sound like. That would really suck. Another one was a lousy version of Drive that came out back in 2004. A girl sang it. It was pretty bad.

I don't think he's quite dead yet - but if he was, that remake sure would do the trick

"How Soon Is Now" by t.A.T.u is by far the worst 80's cover version I have ever heard

To be totally honest, I've never heard a good one. As I said, I'm an 80s purest. Nothing comes close to the original.

OMFG! I heard this last week while doing a haircut. In my head I was singing along and then it clicked. ? Isn't this that gawd awful Patrick Swayze song? My customer laughed and said, "yep"

I never liked the original but this new remake is even worse.

Since we know all the words to some of today's songs,we can come across as cool to the kids of today.

I always hated when P Diddy ( Diddy? whatever) remade Every Breath You Take.

I hate when the redo 80's music. Leave well enough alone.

Seal's version of 'Lips like Sugar' from Echo isn't too good, either.

There's one song, or part of anyway, that doesn't bother me, though. It's from 'Charmed' -'How soon is now'.
Not bad, maybe it's because it's from another 80's band, Psychedelic Furs.

I actually like the original "She's like the wind"

    I don't mind remakes - just don't destroy them...

I heard a hip-hop song yesterday where the chorus is Supertramp's "Breakfast in America". It is incredibly horrible. I cannot believe Supertramp allowed this.

On the other hand, I also heard a slow version of Tears For Fears' "Mad World". I love it! I don't know who made it, but I think it's really good.

Oh God!! I've heard that one too. Yuck!!! That really blows. I can't believe Super Tramp permited that either. It's terrible.

Gary Jules made that one. It's an example of a great remake
