    I didnt realize the damage until I tried pulling on a pair of jeans

    I need some help/tips on how to lose some weight!
    Summer is known to be the swimsuit season, but I actually ended up gaining some weight .. I blame all those barbeques
    Anyway, any helps or tips would be most appreciated .. unless your a spammer, judging by the activity in the health section

    Not that I'm a beacon of good health or anything. But I've lost a wee little bit in the past two weeks. 5 pounds. It's a start anyways.

    I suggest start drinking as much water as you can stand. If you have to have caffeine, don't put any sugar in whatever you drink.

    Walk. ALOT. Even if you start small by parking farther away in the parking lot. Walk up stairs. Walk around the block. Walk in the mall. You'll build up a tolerance and start doing more and more and start feeling more energetic.
    But don't try to do TOO much at first (if you aren't used to it.) It's tempting, but you end up paying for it with a sore back or sore legs/knees/ankles. Whatever.

    Have 6 little meals instead of three big ones. Starting finding healthy things to snack on. Cut up veggies. Low salt pretzels. Popcorn with no butter.

    And stop going out to eat. Especially to all-you-can-eat buffets. Those are killer. Try to eat at home as much as you can. You save money and eat more healthfully too (usually).

    I want to say that I'm pretty much on the right track .. I've been having 4 small meals a day .. stopped "drinking calories," just water for me .. and I walk my dog ever morning before work and after work.

    My friend also linked me to a site called findyourdetour.com and suggested that I try using their workout tips .. as of now, I haven't seen any sort of change yet, but I guess I'll stick to this for now and see what happens

    Eat right, exercise. The ONLY way to do it correctly. Takes longer but the results last....and if you keep it up you won't have any problems.

    The culprit is the dryer. It shrinks your jeans.

    Seriously though, the only way to lose weight is to eat less/healthier and exercise. Easier said then done too, I know. There is no miracle cure. Don't waste your money on special programs.
