-ha receive Multi-Million Performance Award for 'Take on Me'

Magne and Morten were present at the London BMI Awards last night (October16th), where a-ha were recognized with a Multi-Million Performance Award for 'Take on Me.' The event took place at the Dorchester Hotel in London.
'Take on Me' has been played more than three million times on US airwaves. According to BMI.com,
"Prestigious "Million-Air" certificates were also presented throughout the evening in recognition of those songs that have achieved over three million U.S. radio and television performances — the equivalent of more than 17 years of continuous airplay."

I agree. It's a good song. They deserve it. The song has kind of become timeless.

I tend to agree with you, Lyverbe. "Take on me" is far from the only great song, not to mention hit, a-ha has made. Unfortunately the overwhelming success of the song and video tend to drown the others - kind of sad, really... Still, I think it's quite an achievement to have a song played that many times on air.
