Forever Young from Alphaville was and is one of my favorites. Hope the reunion goes well. Mine is in July!

Re: 1988 Class Reunion Music
Hi, there!
Welcome.
In no particular order:
Strut by Sheena Easton
When You Close Your Eyes, Sister Christian by Night Ranger
Rock of Ages by Def Leppard
Throw in anything by Bon Jovi EXCEPT Wanted Dead or Alive. If I have to hear that one more bleepin' time....
I'm sure I've forgotten hundreds.
You'd like to think so, wouldn't you?

defintely find out what their class song was, prom song and all that stuff. there may even be some groups (clicks) that had songs that totally goes with them. you know like the rock stuff, or rap, or alternative. are they going to get you a list?
i know we are planning our 20th and i think we are just taking requests and then putting it all on an ipod or something like that.

Re: 1988 Class Reunion Music
I've done many class reunions in my years and find most people don't want music from the years they were in school.
That being said, here are some 80's songs I still play out on a regular basis:
Loco-motion-Kylie Minogue
Love shack-B-52's
Bust a move-Young MC
It takes two-Rob Base
You dropped a bomb on me-Gap Band
Let it whip-Dazz Band
Superfreak-Rick James
You shook me all night long-AC/DC
Pour some sugar on me-Def Leppard
I love Rock N Roll-Joan Jett
Billie Jean-Michael Jackson
Kiss-Prince
Into the groove-Madonna
Electric boogie-Marcia Griffiths
Wild thing-Tone Loc
Come on Eileen-Dexy's Midnight Runners
Mickey-Toni Basil
Tainted love-Soft Cell
Relax-Frankie Goes to Hollywood
You give love a bad name-Bon Jovi
Talk dirty to me-Poison
Jessie's girl-Rick Springfield
Let's groove-Earth Wind and Fire
etc. etc. etc.
you're dispicable!
Did you get that thing I sent ya?

Re: 1988 Class Reunion Music
It ended up going outstanding. I mixed it up like I planned on doing. It was on a boat & on the way over I played 80's rap & metal for the few that cut loose that early...(Born to Be My Baby, Girls, Girls, Girls, You Dropped a Bomb on Me, All Summer Long by Kid Rock, Oh Sheila, Too Shy-Kajagoogoo, Jungle Love, Pour Some Sugar On Me,(people STILL aren't tired of it)...
and on the way back I made my way from the 90's (Jump Around, Insane in the Membrane, etc...right up to the present with Flo-Rida, Ray Jay, Mims, the Cupid Shuffle & a bunch of other current stuff that kept the deck packed all the way back until we pulled in then I ended with "Purple Rain" & "This Is The Time" by Billy Joel. Thanx for the suggestions! Maybe all this will help somebody in a similar situation!
