    Footloose

I saw the original at the theatre, it was a double feature with Splash. I wasn't old enough to watch Purple Rain. I watched the trailer for new one, wow, leave a classic the way it is!

If it weren't for the name, would you ever have thought "Footloose" at all?

Has any body seen the new one? I am intrigued I must say and I am thinking of seeing it. I want to hear some reviews if anyone has been!

I saw it and absolutely loved it. Keep in mind, I have never seen the original (I know, blasphemy!). Hearing some of the old music done in country style was a little off-putting but overall, I really enjoyed it.

I can't bring myself to see it. Again, it is just one of those classics that should be left alone.

    Re: Footloose

I'm pretty sure I've seen bits and pieces of the new one because other people in the house were watching it. No thanks, I'd rather stick with Kevin Bacon sticking it to the man by dancing his heart out. Plus, the soundtrack was a total bust for me, I looked up online in comparison to the 80s version, nah.
