    Vanilla Sky
    Release Date: December 14, 2001
Starring: Tom Cruise, Penelope Cruz, Cameron Diaz
    Directed by: Cameron Crowe

Is anyone else interested in seeing this Erotic Thriller? I wasn't interested until I started seeing more previews and realised the Cameron Diaz is in the movie. I will probably see this after, "Lord Of The Rings".

I think this movie looks pretty good from the previews. I wasn't too happy with Tom Cruise's last erotic movie. (Eyes Wide Shut) I actually think this movie is the worst I've ever seen.

Yeah, I'd like to see this one when it comes out. I've seen the previews and it does look like it'll be a good movie. I just hope that it's not like some other movies that I've seen where the previews turn out to BE the whole movie.

I can't wait to see this! Not sure if I can sit through a crowded movie theater. I may wait for it to come out on vidoe.

Yeah, it's being previewed all over the tv here. Might be alright, but as TopCat said, watching out for the crowds might be an idea! Nothing worse than people being noisy through a movie, especially a thriller!

The latest previews to VS look very intriguing. When the promos first started running, I couldn't figure out what the movie was supposed to be about, exactly. I still don't know what the movie's about, but I am intrigued enough to go see the movie and find out.

LOL Sarg, I know exactly what you're talking about! I've been burned by the lure of a trailer before and realizing that was the best thing about the movie!

Is it just me or does this movie come a bit close to his personal life? In the previews I see him with one women.. who he is suppose to be in love with, untill Penelape (sp?) Cruz catches his eye. Isn't she the one that he is dating now? Did him and NIcole get a divorce when he was making this movie?

    Hey, Mystie! *smoochers right back*

Well, Penelope Cruz's accent bugs the hell out of me & she ain't all that. Plus, I hate movies (like "Proof of Life") that I know the stars hooked up on the set, usually leaving a jilted spouse. Just a hang up, I guess.

...Oh & BTW, Trixter, Frodo not only lives, he kicks ass!

I kinda did want to see it, but didn't say so to my boyfriend because I had the feeling that he didn't want to see it. Then he found out who directed it, and now he wants to see it. Does anyone else do that? Go to a movie based on the director or the main star rather than the movie itself?

I wanted to see K-Pax which didn't do well just because of Kevin Spacey. We wound up not seeing it though.

I think we're going to the movies on Friday to see Vanilla Sky. I guess we'll all give our reviews afterwards??

One more thing I forgot to say...

Now on the commercials, it says something about not ruining the suprise twist(s) in the movie-that the reviewers shouldn't ruin it for the people who haven't seen it yet. Talk about hype!! They're making this out to be another Sixth Sense. We'll see, I guess!

Greenfreak, I do that all the time! For example, I almost see anything Tim Burton directs regardless of the theme or who is starring in it. I know I'm going to be entertained regardless.

I've done that too with stars. Usually if Brendan Fraiser, Winona Ryder, or Adam Sandler is in it I want to see it.

    Saw it last night...

    welll....

    Hmmm...

I'm still a little confused. It's definately not a 'feel good' type of movie. You walk away feeling uneasy, which is most likely the whole point. Thoroughly confusing throughout most of the movie with flashbacks and flashforwards.

In retrospect, I think it was good, but that it will most likely be trashed like Magnolia was because it's not what people were expecting. It plays with your mind and your emotions, but mostly your mind. Preliminary user reviews on www.imdb.com are less than good. I hope they made alot of money last night because I don't think they're going to make much after the buzz gets out.

I have to admit, I liked Almost Famous (another Cameron Crowe movie) much more than this. But that was a typical type of movie. Call me fickle-I like going away from a movie satisfied. *shrugs shoulders*

I probably will see this movie anyway. But now I think I'll wait until it is available at my local Blockbuster Video.
