    Hmmm...

I'm still a little confused. It's definately not a 'feel good' type of movie. You walk away feeling uneasy, which is most likely the whole point. Thoroughly confusing throughout most of the movie with flashbacks and flashforwards.

In retrospect, I think it was good, but that it will most likely be trashed like Magnolia was because it's not what people were expecting. It plays with your mind and your emotions, but mostly your mind. Preliminary user reviews on www.imdb.com are less than good. I hope they made alot of money last night because I don't think they're going to make much after the buzz gets out.

I have to admit, I liked Almost Famous (another Cameron Crowe movie) much more than this. But that was a typical type of movie. Call me fickle-I like going away from a movie satisfied. *shrugs shoulders*</STRONG>
I LOVED this movie!! I thought it was so creative! I didn't find it confusing. It was completly different from the norm! That made it great! I went away satisfied!

Almost Famous was more of a "cute" type of movie. I like it, but not nearly as much as Vanilla Sky.

TopCat, you mean you followed the movie from beginning to end, not wondering what was going on, what was real and what wasn't? That's what I was referring to. I don't want to ask specific questions because I don't want to ruin it for anyone. Different, definately. Did you know it was a remake and that Penelope Cruz played the same part in both of them? I thought that was kinda cool.
I'll think of something snappy to put here soon!

I don't want to ruin it either! Yep, I followed it. There were some lose ends but they came together at the end.

Remake? COOL! Who orginally did it?

I go to the Internet Movie Database for everything about movies (www.imdb.com) and found this: Abre Los Ojos which is the original. I believe it translates to 'Open your Eyes' which makes sense.

Ironically enough, the advertisement for that movie is mainly a picture of Penelope Cruz. On the remake, it's of Tom Cruise. Just goes to show ya, it's not who the star is, it's who's the prettiest!
