is he that guy from Rage Against the Machine?

Reb Beach got my vote... he catches so much shit from being in Winger, but he really IS a great guitar player. Also... not on the list... Ronnie LeTekro.

GARY RICHRATH, ex-axeman for REO Speedwagon, definitely gets my vote. Check him out at GaryRichrath.com

'Stanley Jordan' made a cameo appearance in the excellent Bruce Willis comedy 'Blind Date'. I had completely forgot about him

Stanley Jordan was also on the cover of Guitar Player that same year. I remember that was before his Ibanez contract and he played those strange aluminum neck Kramers with the split peghead. I remember him being in Blind Date, I was a big fan of the Nissan 300Z and Willis drove a white one in the film

I agree with Pagan, Lindsey Buckingham is very under appreciated.

My vote goes to Robert Cray, big in the 80s but probably a little to blues for this crowd.

Sh*t, people, this list could go on forever...

Terry Dunn of Banshee, the fellow from Great White (bloody hell, what's his name?)...

Nuno Bettencourt, I mean, the man can play like seven instruments and still tears it up on guitar.

Randy Rhoads, R.I.P. This man was a genius! IMO, better than Hendrix and Vai, Joe Satriani, or Eddie Van Halen.

I would have to say Dweezil Zappa. That guy can play he just pics bad projects. His solo stuff is a sad attempt at art/comic/avant garde rock like his dad. The stuff with his brother is held back by the fact that no one really likes Ahmed Zappa as he is agrivating. And now he is being wasted behind that Lisa Loeb girly stuff. The version of Staying Alive done by Dweezil, Ozzy, and Zakk Wylde is great. Dweezil trades solos with Zakk and comes off pretty good. Better than the BeeGees version

"While my guitar gently weeps" A Beatles cover. His performance is better than Eric Clapton in the original version. He performed this one at the Rock N Roll Hall of Fame ceremony. He played along side Tom Petty, Jeff Lynne, Steve Winwood and Dhani Harrison and blew them all away.

"Red house" A Jimi Hendrix cover that absolutely kicks ass. Recorded at one of his famous after party shows.

"Just my imagination" Recorded as a bootleg from an after-show party. If you love blues guitar then you will LOVE the solo in this 7 minute Temptation's cover. The copy I have is one of the best bootlegs I have ever heard. It sounds like it was recorded straight from the sound board.

He plays with such emotion and feeling that it just blows me away.
