I wish I could vote twice, but shouldn't there be a clear winner here? I'm gonna need to drag LMT or Foxxy in here right away!

Had to vote for "It's My Life". It's one of those songs that I sing in my head a lot. "Goody Two Shoes" would be a close second with its upbeat tempo

    New Wave???

Seems like New Wave is the UK's New Romantics.

"Look of Love", ABC, Lexicon of Love. I've three copied of this, vinal, tape & CD, so this track has to be one of my all-time loves.

Went to see them live years ago in Birmingham. Still very vivid memories of the night.

Looks as if Valentine's vote has put ABC's "Look of Love" in the lead as favorite New Wave hit of the 80s! Interesting!

I choose Only You by Yaz, but I have other New Wave favourites

    Blister In The Sun--Violet Femmes

Too hard to choose just one New Order song and one Depeche Mode song
    I Wanna Be Sedated--The Ramones

Boys Don't Cry, Let's Go To Bed, The Love Cats, In-Between Days, Close To Me (I know I'm forgetting another song I like!!)-- The Cure
    Planet Earth--Duran Duran
    She Sells Sanctuary-The Cult

Just checking back with the results of this poll. I think this is one of the most voted upon polls we've done around here. "Look of Love" and "Kids In America" are currently tied for 1st place with 9 votes each, which I find to be quite interesting!

There is no way I am voting against Depeche Mode. Just can't get enough is not their best song, but it is still one of the biggest reasons that I discovered them as a band.

    Bump!

This poll is still a three-way tie, so a few votes from out Newbie could break the tie!!!

I voted for Talk Talk - it's My Life. I like all the songs listed but this song really captivated me. It seemed like the ultimate declaration @ that time - "It's my life/ don't you forget" - damn right!
