Went with BLONDIE always a favorite!
Although nobody looked better driving a school bus through a wall of TV sets! And who could for get her chainsaw and the movie "Reform School Girls"?!

'Atomic' is still my favourite Blondie song

Debbie Harry was so versatile, she could sing anything: Disco (Heart of Glass), Reggae (The Tide is High), and New Wave (Call Me), Rap (Rapture)

    Exene, from X.
    Joan Jett.
Bobbi Brat, singer for Red Scare.
    Kira Roessler, Black Flag.

I never considered Debbie Harry to have anything to do with punk; she was more New Wave or pop. jmo

    Re: Women of Punk

I voted for Blondie because of two reasons... I loved her style and the others I've never heard of. The latter of the two made that one fairly simple.

    Cool Re: Women of Punk

Debbie Harry, seemed to be a real punk icon to me at least for the New york scene. She was really hot when she was younger, not now. I'm still a Blondie fan though, anybody notice how glazed her eyes are in the Heart Of glass music video? I had to look up Wendy O. to recall who she was. I only know 1 or 2 songs from the Plasmatics.

I picked Poly Styrene of X-Ray Spex, because IMHO she was a very underrated performer.
